Château Valade L'Etendard Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Dark plum colour,  a great, almost hyper-concentrated nose of stewed plums and black currant, cocoa, cedar, tobacco, mint and vanilla with hints of forest floor and wet stone. Dry and full bodied with silky tannins and big, round and very long finish.  This wine illustrates a clear mastery of oak.
