Dry and full bodied. Dark red colour with brownish shades. Lots of dark fruit and spicy complexes on the nose. Nice tight but lush mouthfeel. Black cherries, crisps, strawberry and black currant with hints of tobacco, old leather and pepper. Long finish that stays firmly structured in the mouth.

Luis Duarte is one of the most awarded winemakers in Portugal. Featured with the title of Winemaker of the Year in 1997, 2007 and 2014, by WINE - Wine Magazine, one of the most prestigious specialized publications of Portugal. In 2007 he repeated the feat, winning this title again. In 2010, he was nominated for the "Best Winemaker in the World" Wine Awards 2010, a competition held by the German magazine Der Feinschmecker and was among the six finalists. Was the winner of the contest 3 Trophys' International Wine Challenge 2005 'with wine' Herdade da Malhadinha Tinto 2003 'and was also the winner of the Golden Talha in the contest' The Best Alentejo Wines Production.
