Tator Primitivo
Tator Primitivo
Tator is an ancient Messapian god of obscure origin, like the Primitivo grape whose character is distinguished by its strength and bonding with the surrounding territory. Traditional in style, this wine is made from handpicked grapes and it is still produced using the rules of the old Salento Massari - to whom the image on the label is dedicated. Tator has a complex, full bodied and generous nose derived from the ripe red fruit and jam aromas, whereas the palate is spicy and fruity with distinct hints of cinnamon and "fiche cucchiate" (dried figs stuffed with almonds), with great body and great structure. Its aromas are reminiscent of the strong, ancient history and poetry of Salento.
